The word of God has life,it is gives us confidence of the good things to come; 2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction ,and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work”.I hope you are fine together with your loved ones amidst the COVID-19 scare. As long as we are the residents of this universe , challenges and triumph will be part and parcel of our lives.God has instructed us to rejoice always whether happy or sad.(Psalm 68:4) Joy should not be influenced by material possessions because they can vanish anytime or we can physically die and leave them behind.
We have realized that joy is more than giddy happiness. It’s praise.Rejoicing.The definition of the original Greek word for “rejoice” includes: “to be well, thrive and in salutations, hail”.We see how to thrive,be well and rejoice exceedingly (regardless of our circumstances) when we observe how Jesus maintained joy though He knew the cross was coming.

We have to cheer up always because:
1.God is always in control
Anxiety and fear are relentless. The longer one struggles with fear, the more likely it is for one to be overwhelmed by it thus controlling one’s every decision and move. The good news is that we have a promise that “God is faithful and He will not let us to be tempted beyond our ability (1 Corinthians 10:13)
Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you;I will uphold you with my righteous hand”.This verse is so rich with the promises of God that it warrants some special attention from us.Ultimately, the Lord wants to impart us through this verse that we shouldn’t be afraid.
2.God is our refuge
Psalms 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength,an ever present help in trouble”.A refuge is a safe place. When the Bible describes God as our refuge,it says that God is our safe place when we need protection from something.Knowing God is our refuge enables us to trust Him more freely.
We need not fear situations or people who threaten our well-being,whether in a physical or spiritual sense. There is no situation we will ever face that is out of God’s control,so the best place to be always,is right with Him.
3.God is our consolation
Psalm 94:19 “When anxiety was great within me,your consolation brought joy to my soul”.This Psalm tells us that even in rough or desperate situations,we can be filled with the joy of the Lord.He is our consolation and His word ceases anxiety like nothing else can.God can bring joy into your soul even during times when one is most anxious by simply knowing that He is present and trusting in His power.
4.Life is more than food and clothing
Luke 12:22-26 “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat;or about your body, what you will wear.Life is more than food and the body more than the clothes”.God has reminded us continuously that life is more than food and clothing throughout the scriptures.Christ set the example when He was tempted by satan at the desert.
Worrying doesn’t change things, except to make problems appear worse than they really are.So why let ourselves get so worked up into a frenzy over “big things”? Cast your cares on Him and then trust in His wisdom.
5.We are God’s children
Galatians 3:26.Paul’s teaching was that the Gentiles no longer needed to think of themselves as lesser members in the family of God.All who trust in Christ for salvation are full sons and daughters of God Almighty with all the rights and privileges that come with that.
Cheer up today brethren because you have every reason to do so.John 13:3 “ Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under His power and that He had come from God and was returning to God”.
Jesus knew who He was and whose He was.Today,if only we carried the same confidence into daily life, how unstoppable our testimony would be.
