Till I encountered this one who clung to me ,
It is not that I deserved His love or mercy,
He made my filthy rags clean and made my wounds of sin healed,
His name is Jesus,A good teacher, who taught me His good ways,
I celebrate you Rabbi.

My ways are not your ways Christ,My acts of “righteousness” are nothing before you,
Your ways are perfect,Teach me master,I am ready to learn,
Give ear to words please, consider my meditation,
My voice you shall hear in the morning,God
In the morning I will direct it to you,And I will look up,
I celebrate you Selah.

Christ you are a healer,You healed my troubled bones,
Christ you are a quencher,You quenched my thirst,
Christ you are a liberator,You liberated me from my sins,

How excellent is your name in all the earth, who have set your glory above the heavens,

Many are they who rise up against me,And tell me there is no help from you,
But I choose not to listen because you have broken the teeth of the ungodly,
Preseerve me God,My trust is in you,
I celebrate you Jehovah.

CHEER UP,YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD

The word of God has life,it is gives us confidence of the good things to come; 2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction ,and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work”.I hope you are fine together with your loved ones amidst the COVID-19 scare. As long as we are the residents of this universe , challenges and triumph will be part and parcel of our lives.God has instructed us to rejoice always whether happy or sad.(Psalm 68:4) Joy should not be influenced by material possessions because they can vanish anytime or we can physically die and leave them behind.
We have realized that joy is more than giddy happiness. It’s praise.Rejoicing.The definition of the original Greek word for “rejoice” includes: “to be well, thrive and in salutations, hail”.We see how to thrive,be well and rejoice exceedingly (regardless of our circumstances) when we observe how Jesus maintained joy though He knew the cross was coming.

We have to cheer up always because:
1.God is always in control
Anxiety and fear are relentless. The longer one struggles with fear, the more likely it is for one to be overwhelmed by it thus controlling one’s every decision and move. The good news is that we have a promise that “God is faithful and He will not let us to be tempted beyond our ability (1 Corinthians 10:13)
Isaiah 41:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you and help you;I will uphold you with my righteous hand”.This verse is so rich with the promises of God that it warrants some special attention from us.Ultimately, the Lord wants to impart us through this verse that we shouldn’t be afraid.
2.God is our refuge
Psalms 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength,an ever present help in trouble”.A refuge is a safe place. When the Bible describes God as our refuge,it says that God is our safe place when we need protection from something.Knowing God is our refuge enables us to trust Him more freely.
We need not fear situations or people who threaten our well-being,whether in a physical or spiritual sense. There is no situation we will ever face that is out of God’s control,so the best place to be always,is right with Him.
3.God is our consolation
Psalm 94:19 “When anxiety was great within me,your consolation brought joy to my soul”.This Psalm tells us that even in rough or desperate situations,we can be filled with the joy of the Lord.He is our consolation and His word ceases anxiety like nothing else can.God can bring joy into your soul even during times when one is most anxious by simply knowing that He is present and trusting in His power.

4.Life is more than food and clothing
Luke 12:22-26 “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat;or about your body, what you will wear.Life is more than food and the body more than the clothes”.God has reminded us continuously that life is more than food and clothing throughout the scriptures.Christ set the example when He was tempted by satan at the desert.
Worrying doesn’t change things, except to make problems appear worse than they really are.So why let ourselves get so worked up into a frenzy over “big things”? Cast your cares on Him and then trust in His wisdom.

5.We are God’s children
Galatians 3:26.Paul’s teaching was that the Gentiles no longer needed to think of themselves as lesser members in the family of God.All who trust in Christ for salvation are full sons and daughters of God Almighty with all the rights and privileges that come with that.

Cheer up today brethren because you have every reason to do so.John 13:3 “ Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under His power and that He had come from God and was returning to God”.
Jesus knew who He was and whose He was.Today,if only we carried the same confidence into daily life, how unstoppable our testimony would be.

WHEN IT GETS TOUGH,CONFIDE IN GOD

Dear Lord,
I humble before you,
I mumble in prayer,
For I am in despair,
Looking up for comfort,
Yes,seeking for that is above,
I fly like a dove,
Catch me before I cry,
This demon covid-19,
Is tormenting your people,
I pray for healing,
Your power to flow without ceasing,
We need it God,
May you fulfill this desire,
Burning in my chest like raging fire,
Amen.

God’s Rule of Law

2 Timothy 3:16-17
“All scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction ,and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work”. All scripture is perfect,no doubt about that thus making it “profitable” in many areas of life.Paul lists four areas :
First, scripture is profitable teaching. It is to be used to instruct people to know God better.
Second, scripture is profitable for reproof or rebuke, the idea of exposing or pointing out sin.
Third, scripture is useful for correction.scripture both points out sin and offers a solution to it.
Fourth, scripture is profitable for training in righteousness.Training is more focused on practical application as compared to teaching.
Thus from scripture we learn what is true, what is wrong, how to correct wrong and how to apply.
The above begs two fundamental questions:
1.What is God’s rule of law?
2.Why is relevant during this time of Corona virus pandemic.
First,God’s rule of law is the bible. Two,in every situation in our life ( good or bad) God has told us and still reminds us to consult Him through His word and prayer;whether for physical or spiritual help. From the above scripture we realize that the God in His and because He is a living God ,His word is also living. We come to the understanding that it is through His word that we get solutions to our day to day challenges.
The Corona virus pandemic has shaken the world by killing thousands and it’s still ready to claim more lives. We are on our weakest moment as a nation and as a globe .Christ reminds us in the book of 1 Peter 4:12-13 to trust in Him and rejoice because He is incharge. When we stop depending on our own strength and place our hope in God,it reduces the buggage on our shoulders and eventually gives us the courage to face our battles and temptations.

CONFIDING IN GOD
Prov 3:5
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart And lean not on your own understanding”
Human understanding is always subject to error. What appears to be the right choice may be the wrong choice. The Lord sees the big picture and He always knows what is best for us.
Abraham could not see how everything would work out for the best when the Lord commanded him to slay his son Isaac on Mount Moriah ( Gen 22:12) but he trusted in the Lord with all his heart.
The Lord did not disappoint Abraham’s wholehearted trust nor will He disappoint us if we trust Him with all our hearts, our understanding may need to catch up with His will and in the end we will see how He is always working for our own good.
The key thing here is to confide in God in prayer regarding every situation in our life be it good or bad.
